Here are some things that TNA has assumed

  • Russo defined the attitude era
  • Raven was a draw
  • Nash would put over the young guys
  • Savage would stick around for more than 5 minutes
  • The X Division would be different than the WCW cruiserweight division
  • The move from PPV to Saturday nights to Thursday nights to Monday nights and back to Thursday nights would increase their audience
  • Kurt Angle was a draw
  • Booker T wasn’t a tired old man with almost no love left for the business
  • Steiner wouldn’t spend most of his time injured
  • Samoa Joe would be bigger if they gimmicked him up a little
  • Outwardly challenging me and my company would spark interest in their brand
  • Hogan and Bischoff would make great bookers
  • What made ECW successful had anything to do with not booking matches in advance, not signing wrestlers to proper contracts, and not having a single current star on a show they expect people to pay money for. That what made ECW successful wasn’t the fact that I was bankrolling it as a loss-leading developmental territory that was never, ever expected to make a profit
  • That paying female wrestlers ten cents on the dollar when your highest rated segments were female wrestling was a solid business move. I mean, does Dixie realize that by taking just Sting’s salary, she could buy every single female wrestler on the planet?
